The new warranty regulations will come into force on January 1: The deadlines for products and spare parts are extended.

In EGi we hhave been betting on the quality of our products for more than 40 years, so we have anticipated to the Modification of the current consumption regulations made through Royal Decree-Law 7/2021 omnibus published in the BOE on April 28. 

What does this new change in regulations consist of? 

• With the objective of extend the useful life of the products, the minimum period that manufacturers must guarantee spare parts, since the product ceases to be manufactured, will be extended from 5 to 10 years. 

• Manufacturers must extend the current warranty from 2 to 3 years.

These standard modifications will enter into force on January, 1 2022. In EGi´s goal to reduce our products environmental impact, we have been offering 3 years of warranty for our products and we have guaranteed spare parts during the 10 years required by the new regulations. 

"The modifications that this new norm introduces in the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users will enter into force on January 1, 2022. With the creation of this type of standards, it is intended to guarantee that the goods and services that are marketed in our country have a high degree of quality, safety and durability, thus reinforcing the protection of consumers, and promoting more sustainable consumption patterns and a circular economy".
